I will be attempting to cook my first rib-eye steak tonight. I’ve cooked other lesser-quality steaks, but not this one.
7 Tips for Steaks
1 Know your cuts.
2 Know your method of cooking.
3 Always allow your steak to approach room-temperature prior to cooking.
4 Season your steak to enhance its natural flavor rather than to mask it.
5 During cooking, never touch your steak other than to turn it.
6 Always allow your steak to rest for at least 10 minutes after cooking.
7 When cutting your steak, always cut across the grain.
The steak is marinated with Onions, Pepper, Garlic Salt, Lea & Perrins, some olive oil, and a little bit of A1 sauce. The steak will be accommodated with fresh broccoli and buttered kernel corn.
The cooking method will be a frying pan -> oven @ 450. I am drooling already.
